If the VAT rate was raised by 5% 9Theoretically) we would just see a rapid rise in inflation. After that one would assume that the government may get more money. After that you'd want to low what the fuck they were doing with it.
As ALL governments waste money like its going out of fashion it would be better if they dropped VAT to 10%.

Im going to need help here.
We aren't in the EU bailout fund. We were under Labour but the coalition removed us.
Can you explain to me why our vat needs to rise by 5%? And if it did surely the answer would be to vote to leave the eu?
